About Rotary Club of Paranaque Lakan-Bini

Previous this club was know Rotary Club of Paranaque Lakambini.  Conceived by Charter President Nitz Wenceslao became the second all women club in Paranaque City.

Officially chartered on August 15,2001 with 56 charter members. Within the same year the membership grew to 83 earning the coveted Global Quest Award for Membership awarded in Rotary International Convention in Barcelona, Spain of the same year.

Lakambini (spouse of a Lakan, local tribe leader title in previous times) was choosen as the name of the club to signify the importance of women as partners at home and community.

In 2009, the club opened its membership to male members and change its name to Lakan-Bini. Lakan (short for Lakandula representing the male members) and Bini (representing the women of the club). Together we strive to build a better community and future for all.
